I’ve come to this post two seasons on Amazon. Listened to it in a couple of sittings. It’s light and easy, but I do prefer the TV show. The show made me cry; there is so much depth and emotion. The book is like a pared back version. (I know the books came first!) It’s nice to hear the original story and I think I enjoyed it more because I was picturing the show throughout. It’s well written and pleasantly narrated, but the plot and characters seem thin.

I loved that the voice didn’t sound like a computer it made it feel mor warm if u get what I mean, I love the way the character are with each other it sounds like such a fun environment so i would tell teen/young adult

i’m not really into books so i tried audiobooks and i still wasn’t too tempted but i listened to this after watching the series and OMG this has definitely convinced me to read more(or listen rather) of this genre,and i also love how it’s read by lola tung(belly)!!!

I too have spent every summer of my younger years at the beach and I really could just taste the salt and smell the ocean from the words. Lola Tung’s performance brings it all alive. Exactly how I’d imagine Belly would sound like!

This series is magical. The way Jenny Han writes always amazes me, and the way she portrays summer through her writing is just incredible. There’s nothing like summer, and I think that was shown perfectly. Also, I loved that Lola Tung was narrating it!! It made it even more special! I love this series endlessly, and can’t wait to listen to book 2.
